The History of Allen Properties

The town was founded by Ebenezer Allen, an advocate for the railroad that allowed Allen crops to be sold across the country. This greatly shifted the town’s economy, and brought about their first claim to fame. The first train robbery in Texas took place in Allen in 1878.
