A charming lakeside community, it was recently the beneficiary of a vital transportation link between Lake Dallas and Little Elm – the Lewisville Lake Bridge. Phase One will include 8,000 square feet with another 16,000 square feet to come later.

There's plenty to do in Lake Dallas. Annual community events include Lake Dallas Mardi Gras, Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off, Kids ‘N Cops, Mighty Thomas Carnival, Lake Cities 4th of July, ‘Float Fly’ at Willow Grove Par, Holiday Lights at the Hall and several Citywide Cleanup days.
For those who enjoy outdoor exercise and recreation, Lake Dallas maintains a variety of parks including City Park, Community Park, Willow Grove Park, Thousand Oaks Park and River Oaks Park. Of particular note are City Park and Willow Grove Park. City Park has six soccer fields and recent improvements that include a new basketball court, a butterfly garden, a renovated Veteran’s Memorial and horseshoe pits. Willow Grove Park borders the Lewisville Lake shoreline along much of the park. Fifteen RB campsites and primitive camping are available. Recent improvements to the park include a fishing pier, playground, trail, baseball field, boat launch and shower house.
Of course, bordering Lewisville Lake, residents can enjoy the many benefits of lakeside living such as fishing, camping, boating and swimming. Additional places of interest in Lake Dallas are the Lakeview Airport, a privately owned airstrip on the city shoreline of Lewisville Lake, and Montserrat, a retreat facility owned and operated by the Jesuits. According to the City’s website, the top employers in Lake Dallas are Labinal, Lake Dallas ISD, CoServ Electric, Video Plus and Walmart.
